About Ms. Dimas
This is my second year at Disney creating magical musical experiences with the most amazing students on the planet. I am extremely fortunate to teach general music--after all, it has been my dream since I was 12 years old. At that age, nothing was cooler to me than a xylophone or recorder. I was inspired by phenomenal music teachers, and hope for my students to feel passionately about music the way I do. While studying music education at DePaul University, I had a concentration in vocal performance. I performed in operas and choral ensembles. These experiences transformed me into a diverse musician. At the same time, I was growing professionally as an educator through the Golden Apple Foundation. I spent four summers teaching in under privileged schools, learning how to build meaningful relationships with students. I now teach general music during the school day, as well percussion ensemble, and choir as extra-curricular activities. I hope to provide my Disney students with valuable, life changing musical experiences that will inspire them to be unique individuals. That is the type of music education I received, and it is the education that every child deserves.
